You're not alone! Here are the most common issues Clear Mornings users encounter, with quick fixes that work. ## Translation Keys Showing Instead of Text **Symptom**: You see text like `habits.title` or `common.save` instead of actual words. **What happened**: This was a known issue in versions before v0.9.6+ where translation keys weren't loading properly on certain pages. **Quick Fix**: 1. **Hard refresh the page** - Press `Cmd+Shift+R` (Mac) or `Ctrl+Shift+R` (Windows/Linux) 2. **Clear your browser cache** - Go to Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data 3. **Update your browser** - Make sure you're on the latest version **Fixed in v0.9.6+**: If you're still seeing translation keys, try logging out and back in. This forces a complete app reload with fresh translations. **Still broken?** Check your browser's console (F12 > Console tab) for errors. If you see locale-related errors, try switching your language in Settings and switching back. --- ## Data Not Syncing **Symptom**: Changes you make on one device don't appear on another, or habits/food logs seem stuck. **Common Causes**: - Poor internet connection - Browser cache holding old data - Session expired **Quick Fixes**: ### Step 1: Check Your Connection - Look for the sync icon in the top right - If it's spinning endlessly, your internet may be unstable - Try switching from WiFi to cellular (or vice versa) ### Step 2: Force a Refresh ``` 1. Open browser DevTools (F12) 2. Go to Application > Storage 3. Check if "Clear Mornings" storage is near quota 4. If yes, clear old data or upgrade browser ``` ### Check 4: Form Validation - Habit name required (1-100 characters) - Category required (Recovery/Exercise/Nutrition) - Goal must be a positive number **Duplicate Habit Names**: You can't have two habits with the exact same name in the same category. If blocked: - Chrome: Lock icon > Microphone > Allow - Safari: Settings > Websites > Microphone > Allow ``` **Recording Best Practices**: - **Speak clearly** - 6-12 inches from microphone - **Quiet environment** - Background noise confuses transcription - **English only** - Whisper AI is optimized for English (multilingual support coming) - **Keep it under 60 seconds** - Longer recordings take longer to process **Daily Voice Log Limits**: - **Basic**: 1 voice log/day - **Premium**: 2 voice logs/day - **Premium+**: Unlimited **Transcription Issues**: - If transcription is wildly wrong, try typing it manually - Technical food terms work better than slang ("chicken breast" > "chicky") - Numbers should be spelled out for better accuracy ("two hundred grams" > "200g") **Mobile Safari Quirk**: On iOS, voice recording only works in Safari.
